Arrival in Arusha

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and taken to Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary in Arusha. After settling in, our safari manager will provide an in-depth briefing about your upcoming adventure. Relax and enjoy the amenities of the lodge and the wonders of the game sanctuary during your stay.

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Non-game viewing time: 2–3 hours.

After breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park. En route, we’ll stop in Arusha for last-minute shopping. As you journey through the Masai steppe and villages, anticipate the sight of Tarangire’s iconic Baobab trees and elephants. This park is a birdwatcher’s haven with over 400 species. Additionally, you can spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and rare animals like the Ash Staling, Great Kudu, and the Fringed Eared Oryx. Predators such as lions, hyenas, and leopards also roam here. Tarangire is part of a migratory ecosystem that includes thousands of elephants and wildebeests.

Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Lake Eyasi

Distance:  50 km

 Non – game viewing time: 1 hour.

After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its diverse habitats and wildlife including tree-climbing lions. Later, explore Lake Eyasi, interacting with the Datoga tribe and witnessing a stunning lakeside sunset.

Lake Eyasi – Serengeti National park

Distance: 132 km

Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.

Join the Bushmen for an early morning hunting experience, learning their ancient survival skills. Later, journey to the Serengeti National Park, stopping at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint and visiting a Maasai village for a cultural immersion. Conclude the day with a game drive in the rich wildlife habitat of Central Serengeti’s Soronera region, potentially spotting the Great Wildebeest Migration. End the day at Thorn Trees Camp.

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti 4 days & 5 days 

For two days, immerse yourself in the Serengeti’s wonders. Begin as early as 06:30 with packed meals for an opportunity to spot predators in their morning activities. Witness the majestic Great Wildebeest Migration and anticipate seeing diverse wildlife, from lions organizing ambushes to grazing herds of buffalo and zebra. After a full day of exploration, get your rest at the best recommended accommodation. 

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Distance: 145 km

Non-game viewing time: 3–4 hours.

Begin at 6:30 am with a packed breakfast, then return to your camp for an early lunch. Proceed with an en-route game drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Conclude the day with a sunset view at the recommended lodge, where you’ll dine and stay overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Distance: 220 km

Non-game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.

Start early at 06:30, descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, often considered the 8th wonder of the world. This unique caldera supports a vast array of wildlife including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elephant, and a dense population of predators. Visit Lake Magadi, occasionally graced by flamingos and other aquatic birds. By late afternoon, return to Arusha or head to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
