JRO – Arusha

After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a representative will greet you and escort you to your accommodation in Moshi/Arusha, ensuring you have a comfortable start to your Tanzanian adventure. Rest up for the exciting days ahead.

Tarangire National Park

Journey to Tarangire National Park, a 3-4 hour drive away. Known for its immense elephant population and towering baobab trees, Tarangire is a haven for diverse wildlife. The Tarangire River serves as the region’s sole permanent water source, drawing animals from all around. Spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a multitude of elephants during your afternoon game drive. Spend the night in Tarangire.

Serengeti National Park

Start your day with breakfast and embark on a 2-days journey to the iconic Serengeti National Park. Renowned for the great wildebeest migration, the Serengeti’s vast plains host lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and other predators. Depending on the season, your guide will choose optimal wildlife spotting locations. Witness hippos and crocodiles coexisting at the hippo pool, observe a lion in pursuit of its next meal or marvel at the sheer magnitude of the wildebeest migration. The terrain shifts from expansive plains to protective kopjes, ensuring a rich and varied game-viewing experience.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater day 5 & day 6

Begin your 2 days with an early safari in the Serengeti, targeting elusive cats before the heat drives them to shade. Post-morning exploration, journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Marvel at the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera, spanning approximately 20 kilometers wide and 600 meters deep. This unique ecosystem houses diverse wildlife within its walls, making spotting easier. Rise early to maximize your exploration in the crater, with high chances of viewing rhinos, lions, and cheetahs, among other inhabitants.

Lake Manyara National Park

Today, journey to Lake Manyara, an hour’s drive away, known for its tree-climbing lions and friendly elephants. After a memorable lunch amidst the wildlife, head back to Moshi/Arusha, a 2-3 hour drive, concluding your adventure.

Lake Manyara National Park

The lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, the tree climbing lions, the soda lake inhabited with thousands of pink-hued flamingos, large water birds and the troops of baboons and blue monkeys and the rift valley escarpment make your safari to this area unforgettable.

The park derives its name from a plant called Euphorbia tirucalli, known as Emanyara in Maasai language and covers an area of 648.7 km2.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder.

 

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is a park in Africa known for its vast plains and woodlands, as well as its abundant wildlife and unique landscape. It is home to large populations of wild animals and is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration of over one million animals.
